Today’s the start of Queen to Queen, Inc.’s blog! Join us every week for new blogs, photos, and upcoming events as we cover everything from the historically black college and university (HBCU) experience and the role of HBCU queens to professional development and civic engagement from the African-American woman’s point-of-view.
Queen to Queen, Inc. is the first and only non-profit organization that connects the legacy of HBCU queens to current and future student body leaders across the country. Established in 2009 and incorporated in 2010, the organization is geared toward current and former queens of HBCUs as well as professional African-American women.
Created by two former queens of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, Queen to Queen strives to build a network of women that will serve as mentors, sounding boards, and professional contacts across the country for each other; act as models of professional women of color to young women; and be examples of the high-quality education and advancement available through our nation’s HBCUs.
Beginning today, get to know who we are as an organization and what matters most to our members.
